Chelsea Linked With Shock Summer Swoop for Juventus Star, Dani Alves

SS Lazio v Juventus FC - TIM Cup Final

Dani Alves may be in line for a shock summer switch from current club Juventus to Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.

Alves has been mooted as a possible transfer target for the Premier League champions after Blues boss Antonio Conte was made aware of the marauding full-back’s alleged availability.

The intriguing rumour has also hinted that Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur could also hold interest in the 34-year-old and, if this piece of conjecture has any weight to it, could lead to a monumental battle to land him.

Chelsea are on the lookout for big-name signings to provide extra competition for places in Conte’s squad, and the ex-Juventus boss is supposedly keen on adding Alves to his right wing-back options in a bid to up Victor Moses’ desire and form ahead of the new campaign.

Competition for Alves’ services would certainly come from City and his former gaffer at Barcelona – Pep Guardiola – and, although Alves may be open to joining up with his former mentor at the Etihad, the Mail has insisted that a switch to England’s capital would appeal more to the Brazil international.
