Tottenham have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Leicester City winger and top Arsenal transfer target Riyad Mahrez, though the Gunners face fresh competition from Juventus.
The 26-year-old has made it known that he wants out of the King Power Stadium this summer, with Arsenal rumoured to be among the clubs leading the chase for his signature.
Mahrez was first linked with Arsenal after Leicester’s shock title win in 2015/16, when his dazzling displays saw him score 17 Premier League goals on his way to winning PFA Player of the Year
While his form may have dipped slightly since then, the Algerian still looks an ideal fit at a bigger club and has been valued at as much as £50million by the Foxes.
However, the Daily Mirror claim that Spurs would rather sign his Leicester team-mate Demarai Gray, and have pulled out of the race for the time being.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, they face a fresh rival for Mahrez’s signature in the form of Juventus, who are now said to be considering him as an alternative to Bayern Munich wide-man Douglas Costa.
